Seabourn Continues Unparalleled Luxury with Two New Expedition Ships

Our two newest ships will make their maiden voyage in 2021 and 2022.

We know luxury. From the Seabourn Encore to the Seabourn Ovation, our entire fleet is the unquestioned crown jewel of the seas. Which is why we’re excited about our two newest expedition ships—planned to set sail in 2021 and 2022 respectively. Both ship are being constructed by leading Italian luxury shipbuilding company T. Mariotti and Damen. These new vessels will take the Seabourn experience to the next level with Ultra-Luxury adventure expeditions to Antarctica, the Arctic, and other exotic locales.

“This is a groundbreaking moment for Seabourn and for luxury travelers, who will now find a new standard of authentic yet luxurious expedition adventures in new and amazing destinations few people will ever have the opportunity to see,” Seabourn President Richard Meadows said.

So what’s on these new 170-meter ships? Glad you asked. They will meet PC6 Polar Class standards, which means they are certified for summer and autumn excursions in medium first-year ice which may include old ice inclusions in Antarctica, the Arctic, allowing guests to bask in the splendor of our entire, exotic planet. Both ships will have 132 ocean-front veranda suites, home for up to 264 Seabourn guests.

The ships will have the unparalleled amenities and luxury service that Seabourn cruisers have come to love and cherish, including kayaks and 24 Zodiac inflatable boats for exploring remote areas, but we also have a few new tricks up our sleeve. Both of the ships will be designed to carry not one, but two submarines—taking Seabourn guests to depths they never imagined. When you’re done exploring, retire to one of the world-class restaurants and lounges for food, drink, fun, and conversation.

“The combination of immersive experience, fine accommodations, and sumptuous amenities offered by these new ships builds on the success of our current product line-up,” Meadows says. “And further demonstrates our leadership as innovators as we continue offering the finest ultra-luxury cruises available.”

We’ll release more information and share photos when we have them—in the meantime, bookings begin later this year. See you on the high seas.
